LOCKDOWN HARDWARE

FAQs

Q: What exit devices can the LDH100 Series work with?
A: Currently we have retrofit Lockdown Hardware kits for the Precision Apex 2000 Series, Dorma 9000 Series and Von Duprin 98/99 & 33/35 Series exit devices. We are planning other devices including the Marks USA 9000 Series, Corbin Russwin ED5000 Series and Precision DS Prepped for DS880 Door Monitoring Switch. Check back for additional information on new kits.

Q: Does the addition of the LDH100 Series affect any UL ratings, such as panic and fire?
A: Trimco’s LDH100 Series modifies the dogging actuation only and does not alter the latching mechanism(s) critical for panic egress. Fire rated devices do not have mechanical dogging, therefore the LDH100 cannot be utilized. Always check with your local code officials for compliance questions.

Q: Do I need to remove the exit device from the door to install the LDH 100 device?
A: No, with minimal tools and in under 10 minutes you can retrofit the LDH end cap without removing the device from the door.

Q: What is the maximum range of exit device width this will work with?
A: The standard kit will work with devices up to 36″. There is an available conversion kit for 48″ devices.

Q: Can you dog the device into position with LDH?
A: No, you can only lockdown (un-dog) the device.

Q: Will this only work on current devices or can it retrofit to older units?
A: There is an available cam replacement kit for Von Duprin 98/99 devices from before 1997.
